During one of our many conversations my son, Jeffrey, was sharing some very hurtful incidents that had recently occurred; people making fun of him at restaurants, laughing and making cruel remarks. He just didn’t understand why people couldn’t accept and respect one another. He didn’t understand why some people judged others because of the way they look, walk or talk.
As always, I would listen to his anguish, knowing that I couldn’t “fix” the situation and that I couldn’t take…..
